Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports is the 3rd wonderful work of fiction by James Patterson. The theme of this book and all the Maximum Ride books is really about preserving the earth. Max’s mission is to save the world. It’s kind of a broad description but in each book she understands more and more of what it means.
There are no more Erasers in this book but don’t get to happy. Now there are flyboys. These are robots with Eraser skin covering them and they can fly. Max and Fang start to show their feelings for each other throughout this book. Max and Fang also head to Dr. Martinez’s house and Max gets her chip removed. This chapter is one of my favorites because it’s really funny. But everything is not ok yet. After a few more life or death events (nothing unusual) the flock wakes up at the school and Jeb tells them it was all a dream. Was it? If you want to know more read these books!
I think James Patterson’s purpose was to teach people that we need to take care of the earth and I think these books were really a good way to do it. They’re a fun read and they leave you wanting more. He also uses mystery’s throughout books to get people to understand how important it is to take care of our earth. I think he’s definitely achieved his purpose. The writing of this book and all of these books is powerful and enticing. It’s not difficult to understand or boring. I don’t think there’s a single point in this books where I wanted to stop reading because the book got boring.
In conclusion I can safely say that these are some of the best books I have ever read, which is why if you haven’t read these books before go to the nearest bookstore or library and you an start helping Max save the world. These books are great for all ages so go read them!
Schools Out Forever is the 2nd work of fiction in the Maximum Ride Series by James Patterson. The moral of this story is kind of the same as the first one. Never be sure of who you can trust and keep your friends close and your enemies closer. This is one of my favorite Maximum Ride books. The flock start to search for their parents while on the run from Jeb and the Erasers. Fang is however injured and the flock need professional medical help. While at the hospital the FBI gets involved and the flock stay at Ann’s house. The flock goes to regular school and even dates.
I agree with the author’s point of view and how he changes from different characters on occasion. This is definitely one of the best books I have ever read and I will be very sad when the series ends.
All in all if you haven’t gathered figured it out by now I really like these books. I would recommend these books to pretty much all ages.
The Angel Experiment by James Patterson is a fiction book. The theme of this book is about learning to trust your friends. It could also be keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. The book starts out when you meet Max (girl) and the rest of the flock. Yes flock. These kids are 98% human and 2% bird. They have wings and can fly. The flock is out strawberry picking when Erasers (humans with wolf in their genes) attack them taking Angel. Angel is a mind reading 6 year old. She doesn’t act like a 6 year old though. All the kids are old for their age and are stronger then a grown man. When Angel is taken the rest of a flock starts out on a journey to find her. On their way to the School (the place they escaped from after being cruelly tested on) Max sees a girl being surrounded by a bunch of boys or are trying to hurt her. Max goes to the rescue telling the rest of the flock that they will meet up later. It turns out that Max saves the girl called Ella but she gets shot in the arm. Max turns to Ella and her mom Dr. Martinez for help. Dr. Martinez is a vet who takes an x-ray of Max’s arm. In the x-ray she sees a chip. Read the books! These are probably some of the best books you will have read.
One thing I really like about the writing style of this book is that Patterson makes unusual twists. He also has short chapters filled with excitement. One thing I also like about these books is that you never know who to trust. Everyone has a secret but what is it? Is it good or bad?
I was really glad that I started reading these books. It’s a light read but will keep you up late at night and rushing to the library to get the next book in the morning.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows is the 7th and final book in the famous Harry Potter series written by J. K. Rowling. The Harry Potter books are fiction and the theme is based on Harry, Ron and Hermione’s friendship and trust in each other to defeat Voldemort.
The book starts out with Harry and the Order getting safety to the Burrow. One of the characters dies unfortunately. Voldemort is gaining more power and more and more of the characters are dieing. There are some cool twists in this book and some parts where I actually cried. Fred and George are still making jokes and being as positive as usual. Once Bill and Fleur are married Harry, Ron and Hermione are on the run looking for Horcruxes. They do fight and there’s a time where one of the characters goes his or her own way. Dobby the house elf is back and as awesome as usual showing up just in the nick of time. I won’t give away the ending which is definitely interesting.
These books are great for people ages 9- 100. If you’re looking for a mystery, romance, or action novel read these books! The writing of this book is moving. I really felt as if I was there with them. I got scared, excited, happy, and sad. I love how J. K. Rowling writes these books in a truly moving way. Overall my response to this book was a good one. I thought the ending came a little to fast though but it’s always sad when a good book ends.
Overall this book was an enticing book that I never wanted to put down. Everyone should definitely read the books and if you like the movies then be prepared to fall in love with the books!
In my back yard there’s a small creek. Though little it’s powerful. I like to walk into it with my bear feet. I can feel lots of sand underneath. This isn’t because the sand was placed there this is because of shoreline erosion. There are lots of medium sized rocks in the creek and the water moves over them and wears them down. This is erosion. The sand doesn’t get really get moved much but our little creek is kind of like having your own personal beach!
In the movie about the volcano at Pompeii one thing in the movie that we talked about in class was the pumice. Pumice is lava that when blown into the air out of the volcano hardens with little holes in it. It can float and is very light. In the movie the people thought it was raining pebbles. They were amazed when it floated. The raining pebbles were however, pumice. Another thing we learned about in the movie was the pyroclastic material. They showed the volcano erupting pyroclastic material. It had the toxic gasses and it rolled down the side of the volcano. We learned how dangerous pyroclastic material is. That also means that the eruption was explosive. The people in the video had no idea that the big hill was a volcano or they probably would have gotten out of there quick. I thought this was a good movie and I would watch it again.
I read 341 by the author J. K. Rowling for Reading Counts and I passed my test with flying colors! I completed 341 pages, and I would give this book a rating of 10 out of 10.

I read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by the author J. K. Rowling for Reading Counts and I passed my test with flying colors! I completed 309 pages, and I would give this book a rating of 10 out of 10.
With my reading counts books, both of which I scored 100% on this is the last book I need to complete my 1000 pages! That won’t stop me from reading though.
In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Fred and George are two minor characters with great importance in this book. They are the older brothers of one of the main characters, Ron. They are especially important in this book because they give Harry a map. This map has secret passageways in and out of the school. Without this map, Harry would not have been able to determine where they were when they meant Black.
